Liaison Nurse Acute Hospital Trust

The role offers support and guidance to both patients/ service users and staff in relation to the management of substance - drug and alcohol. Patients/service users will receive an assessment, usually within the hospital setting, and then given information/ advice/ support or referral as per their concerns. Staff are advised regarding how they can best manage a patients substance misuse as per national guidance or best practice.

The role is part of the wider substance misuse services for Wakefield, and involved in a variety of other support services including training and service development.
