Service description
The Wakefield and District Alcohol Team was developed to provide alcohol specific interventions to adults across the Wakefield area. The Alcohol team is a multi-agency service which includes Turning Point, WMDC and the Primary Care Trust.
The team currently consists of 13 members of staff who have a variety of skills and experience between them. The range of staff who have a number of years experience of working with people with alcohol problems through to staff from professional backgrounds. Such a mix ensures that there is a wide range of skills and experience within the team, which in turn fosters an atmosphere of shared learning and diversity.
