We are one of only 16 in the country and the only substance misuse initiative of its type in Yorkshire and Humber. WISMS has seized the opportunity to develop its partnership working through the development and evaluation of a variety of integrated joint projects. Within these pages you will find information on the vision of the ICO its core objectives and its underpinning work streams that are in the scope of the project.

Described as an ambitious pilot you will find information on the key work streams which are:

• Integrated information management through the integration of a balanced scorecard defining an exemplary service for substance misusers
• Enhanced shared care in partnership with a Wakefield practice.
• Reduction in alcohol related admissions through participation in an alcohol health delivery group.
• Communications and social marketing strategy group who is overseeing, amongst other things, the development of this website.

There is genuinely something for everyone with an interest in the improvement of quality of care for substance misusers. As a pilot site we are committed to shared learning and networking. We welcome feedback on the information contained in the site and actively seek new collaborations.
