Communications and social marketing

Communications & Social Marketing are really important to the success of the WISMS ICOP Project - they are the way we make sure that our service users and their families; their communities and the Partnership organisations understand what the ICOP Project is all about. They are also the way in which we listen to service users, their families and their communities– not everyone has the easy access and opportunities that Partner organisations have to express their viewpoint, so we have tried to find ways of making it easier to talk to us.

The key tool we will use is our re-designed website. This has been designed to be much more powerful and flexible than the old website, so we can now include video clips, links to other sites and to self-help resources, and host a 'social networking' facility. The new website will have many more opportunities for people who use our services to tell us about their experience, and to make suggestions for improving our services.

Over time, the website will develop many different ways of giving people information and expressing their views - the job of this Task Group is to design the initial system and ensure that it is attractive and useful from the start.
