NHS Yorkshire and the Humber has been supporting the ICO work and WISMS generally for some time. We recognise the importance of this work, which should result in some very tangible outcomes, and provide commissioners with important information, whilst develop the already good services further for service users. In the SHAs role across the Yorkshire and Humber region we are keen to see how this work can be replicated in other areas, and what learning more generally can be gained from it. The SHA in particular is supporting the work looking at workforce, the Information Management and Technology work using SharePoint and the overall approach to the ICO.

The ICO is proving a catalyst for ideas and thought leadership in how services can be integrated far beyond health, and the electronic dashboard from the balanced scorecard should provide a wealth of information for all partners to use.
