The integrated service seeks to develop its multi-agency workforce through the development and implementation of an integrated workforce strategy. This strategy will include the following inter-related work streams:
- Measures to strengthen inter-agency and multi-agency work at all levels.
- Leadership and management development and the development of a common competency framework and standards.
- Recruitment into the ICOP workforce to meet business needs.
- Managing performance of the ICOP through the Balanced Score Card
- Managing the performance of individuals within the ICOP including motivation and reward
- Retention and career progression
- Remodelling the workforce/new ways of working
- Multi-agency training and CPD to achieve common competency standards and qualifications.
- Introducing new technologies/interventions.
