Service description

Progress2Work/Link-Up (P2W) provides support, advice and guidance to adults living in the Wakefield area that are motivated to find work, training or employment. The criteria for accessing the programme is that individuals are in receipt of benefits and have had either a history of substance/alcohol misuse, criminal convictions or a homelessness background.

P2W provides individual support, which includes 1-1; advice on employment, training and education opportunities as well as coaching in interview skills, CVs and letter writing, our aim is to help service users to gain training or education opportunities or full time sustained employment.

Service users are accepted on a referral only basis but service users can self refer, the service is not an open access facility. There is no time limit to service users accessing the project, however monthly client meetings will determine the level of client motivation and commitment to achieving a work or training related outcome.
