Leadership, organisation and team development

The ongoing vision for the team involves the development of a 'self management model' in conjunction with and supported by the Nurse Consultant Dual Diagnosis for WISMS and Healthskills Consultancy Ltd this will facilitate the development of individual lead roles. Ideas being progressed include:

• Nurse prescribing lead
• Dedicated service of wound care management advice in conjunction with the, Vascular Nurse specialist
• Development of Hepatitis C treatment in the community (including the possibility of linking in with local hospitals, rather than just Leeds and developing support roles for service users who have successfully cleared the virus)
• The ongoing development and improvement of sexual health screening and treatments for all service users greater involvement with families
