Wellbeing nursing team

Who we are

The Wellbeing Nursing Team was developed to promote general health and wellbeing for all drug and alcohol service users and is integrated into community teams.

The team is made up of four qualified nurses who have a mixture of skills, strengths and experiences designed to support each other. 

The team’s goals include:

• To develop integrated nurse pathways
• To improve hepatitis screening and vaccinations
• To case manage clients with complex health needs and concentrate on those with long term conditions who continually fail to access mainstream healthcare
• To be pro-active in harm minimisation
• To work with clients to actively encourage healthier lifestyles

How to access the team

You can refer yourself to the wellbeing nursing team or you can ask your key worker within either the drug or alcohol teams or at your GP surgery to make the referral by telephone.

Appointments will then be generated at a time and place to suit you.
